JETBLUE: Why No Direct TV Service On JFK-San Juan?

In asterisks, it states that there in no Direct TV service on the JFK to San Juan route. How come? Is it because they are flying in an area where Direct TV signals arent provided? Can someone give me a reason? It would be greatly appreciated.

This has been discussed many times.

The reason is because the Direct TV signals are not strong enough outside of the Continental United States.

What they have in Puerto Rico is Direct TV Plus which requires a large 2-4 inch dish inorder to recieve a signal.

The antenna's on the A320's are not powerful enough, so they are only limited in the continental United States.

Sorry, it should be 2-4 foot not inches.
