New Longhaul Carribean DC10 Airline?

Sun Jun 02, 2002 8:35 am

Hi,

I was looking through the recent licence applications to the UK CAA and I came across the following under their 5th freedom section:

____________________________________
Name and status of applicant: Aerowings Inc
Name and nationality of airline: Aerowings Inc, Antigua
Number of flights: 2
Charterer: Aerowings Inc

31/05/2002 Trondheim-Edinburgh 11:30 UTC
02/06/2002 Edinburgh-Trondheim 14:30 UTC

Aircraft type, registration and capacity: DC-10-15/ V2-SKY/ 363

Permission was granted as no objections were received from UK airlines.
____________________________________

So if the flights went ahead the 1st has obviously happened and the 2nd is Sunday.

Who is Aerowings, and what are they doing with a DC-10 in the UK?!?!

Cheers!

Aerowings is the successor of Skyjet. They do lots of subcharters for other airlines with its DC-10s.
