Isn't this the famous 1300th Boeing 747 built?
Is there a website with pictures from Boeing Field where we can see which planes are ready for delivery or are under construction?

Ciao

No line number 1300 went to China Airlines, I think it's still flying  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

China Southern 744F's are 1306 (B-2472) and 1312 (B-2461).

Why does the aircraft have a set of 777 stairs ??

What routes will CZ's 744F be operated on? How many are they getting? I take it from Airbus_A340's comment that HKG will be served with CZ's 744F?

I have just found it interesting that the logo for the company's name on the wreckage written in Chinese character is in the same figure of letter as we Japanese usually use. The Chinese character I find means 'NATION' or
'国'.(Does this letter processed properly in your computer?)
About 50 years ago the Japanese government formed a rule to use easier Kanji (Chinese character) to write.
Further interesting is other Chinese Airlines (China Northern, etc) and Taiwanese still uses the conventional
characters.
If your PC processes Kanji (Chinese character),
中国南方航空(China Southern)
中國北方航空(China Northern)
中華民國 (Republic of China, Taiwan)
東亜国内航空(Toa Domestic Airways, ex Japan Air System)

regards.

Let me correct....
"the company's name on the wreckage "
to
"the company's name on the fuselage "
thanks  Smile

Nice Pic!!!!
Never imagine that CZ would operate such a large acft. CZ's colour on 744F does look good.

Smolt: lucky that you correct your statement in time, otherwise there will be some discussions about why you use the word, "wreakage".  Smile

The Chinese character you mentioned means "nation". That is the simplied Chinese character Mainland China are using.

Does this aircraft belong to Atlas Air or directly to CZ? I thought that all CZ 744 were wet-leased from Atlas.

While Southern does have a wet-lease for an Atlas -400, they are getting their own, and this is the first.

Thank you. Will the Atlas 744 be phased out of their operation?
