Tue Jun 04, 2002 12:50 am

I'm flying tomorrow night on my first ERJ to Dayton OH with USAirways. Never been on the plane, any thoughts about it?

Great Plane very comfortable. I love the pre-recorded safety demonstration (Audio Only). For a regional jet the Lav in the back is very spacious. Take-offs are smooth and fast. Enjoy your flight.

I flew in a ERJ145 also from USExpress, STL to PHL. It took us about 2:15 minutes flying time. My first impression about the plane was that it was too short ( well for me, I'm 1,84m ), also it look quite narrow with 1-2 seat configuration. I wanted to have the window seat but the F/A asked me to change with my younger son, I think it was because I was too big and if we had an emergency I would broke my head in the celling!!!
The flight was quite smooth during most of the time, they served us a nice breakfast box but I was sad for the F/A, only one lady taking care of a full plane..... The landing was not so nice, the weather close to PHL was quite windy so our approach was very swingy, up and own, up and down but we finnally landed. I noticed that the ERJ145 don't have slots and I think that swing in lower speeds might punnish a little the aircraft. Besides that it was a nice and confortable flight. Just to give full details:

Date - 2001/07/27
Airline - USExpress
Model - ERJ145
Registration - N285SK

Regards and good flight!

I have flown with Alitalia`s ERJ-145 from DUS to MXP last December. In my opinion is it a very comfortable and spacious regional airplane, I have enjoyed the flight very much. That was also the first time that I have sat on a single seat in an airplane (ask for it at the check in counter, than you have no annoying seat neighbours).

Enjoy your flight!

I would try to get a seat on the left side of the aircraft. There is only one seat on that side and it makes you feel "special." Try to take a glimpse at the cockpit, it is very nicely designed and cool looking!  Big thumbs up

It is cool looking, but the jumpseat doesn't have any seat pitch  Smile/happy/getting dizzy  Wink/being sarcastic However, it was nice to fly right behind the pilots.

Well I wonder why they all love that plane. It's very tight and very noisy for a jet. The A Seat is the best choice as it is the single seat. Try to get a seat in the middle of the plane. It's the quietest. Landing is very tough, it seems as if this plane has a pretty stiff landing gear.
On my last flight with Swiss they seemed to have some trouble with the trim of that plane. One tall man was denied a seat in the first row as the plane would get out of trim...
