KLM Load Factor For May 2002 Increases

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines announced that May overall load factor increased to 76.4%, up 2.6% from last May.

Capacity was cut by 7% and traffic fell by 4%.

Passenger load factor was at 77.2% up 1.3% from May 2001 while traffic and capacity fell 7 and 9% respectively.

KLM Cargo load factor rose 4.7% to 69.%.

However, in April 2002, KLM's passenger and cargo load factors were at 80.8% and 72% respecitively, with overall load factor at 78.9%

Yes, KLM is recovering well. Summer vacation season coming up, should see passenger loads increasing (but the even more profitable businessclass tickets slumping for a few months).
