To cut along story short it's being used by QF to film a Tv ad.

That is John Travolta's 707, painted up in V-Jet c/s.

That is a very old plane by the look of things, well a very old paint job any way. Tell me why they would be filming a TV ad with that paint job.

Retro is in. It gains alot of attention for Quantas. People like to remember how international travel used to be, and sentimental messages are very effective in marketing campaigns. Make sense?

I believe it has something to do with the new service to DFW once they get there LR 744's. Probably just a bit of an historical type advert - the old and the new.

Pity they don't put it into service with some of their old staff. Be a good comparison and should encourage the current lot to pick their game up and rediscover service!
