Tower Air may be a cheap ride on a 747, but it'll be like a sardine sanwich. BA was selling some cheap seats to London, but I think that expired at midnight (24Sep).

If you fly with KLM they let you visit the cockpit if you ask nicely. FAA is restricting the access to the flightdeck but FAA rules do not apply with foreign carriers when it comes to that matter. Enjoy it.

Most European airlines do let passengers see the cockpit. BA and Virgin certainly would, I'm sure.
As for Tower Air, much as I like to fly in 747s, I don't think I'd be that desperate . . .
However, there are also two other US carriers - Northwest (pretty much in the Tower Air league also, possibly not quite as pleasant) and United (which should be decent enough) - flying 747s on domestic flights, although I'm not sure that either fly domestic 747s from NY.

UAL operates one on their route from ORD to LAX or SFO (I don't remember which, look it up on www.expedia.com).

United offers a flight from LAX to DEN on a 747. I wanted to book that on my trip out west but missed the sale.

AC_A340, if you look at the headings directly above the TOPIC box where the initial letter of enquiry was printed you'll find a heading, Help. Click on that and you'll find the info to enable you to use the smiley faces too   Cheers from Mike (Down Under- and still finding my way around my computer!!!)

You mean to say... I must ride in a 747! Otherwise, you were announcing that you already had. You raised my hopes only to dash them. How could you do that to me? Bad grammar I can forgive, but cruelly playing with my emotions like that is unconscionable.   P.S. Tower Air is not the cheapest ticket. It is the most expensive. It could cost you your life. There are many other airlines which are much more affordable.
