When Did Air Canada Drop Buenos Aires?

Thu Jun 13, 2002 3:37 pm

I noticed that AC no longer publishes fares to EZE, and that they no longer provide schedules either. They still maintain 5x/wk to GRU.

Does anyone know when this happened? There's no press release or anything at the Air Canada web site.

I believe it was last week. Check out www.justplanes.com for the latest news. It announces it there.

It was quietly dropped at end of the southern summer.

It's probably seasonal.....might be back in Oct/Nov.
I dumped at the gybe mark in strong winds when I looked up at a Porter Q400 on finals. Can't stop spotting.

Perhaps the Argentine financial crisis was a factor. Little business going on there right now.

The route was dropped at the end of May. Service was gradually reduced through the month of May. The financial situation in Argentina resulted in a drop in traffic.

Passengers are protected on Air Canada's codeshare with Varig between Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires.
