Saturday afternoon, I was loading the daily WN382 from here (SJC) to MCI, a 737-700. While running back and fourth from the jetway, under the plane, to retrieve late-checked strollers, I stood up a little too soon on my way under the plane. You all know those little white antennas you see sticking out of planes...well they're not that little, about a foot in length and hard as concrete. I jammed my back into the antenna, ripping a muscle behind my right lung. That night, it ruptured and I couldn't breath, resulting in me being rushed to the emergency room. I was released the next morning. I'm sitting here in my PJ's in pain, but recovering (with the help of Vikadin
) All I've been able to do at work is push-out all day. This accident has costed me tons of time doing paperwork and yada yada yada... I'm still attending the Airliners Convention in IAH on Thurs. though!
