Hi guys,

I was just reading about an airline that's supposedly starting up in the Netherlands.
The name is Vipair and according to their website, they hope to fly 2 A310-300s to the following destinations from Amsterdam this August:

ALICANTE
ALMATY
ANKARA
ANTALYA
ASTANA
ATHENS
BARCELONA
BODRUM
CAIRO
DALAMAN
FARO
HERAKLION
ISTANBUL
IZMIR
LARNAKA
LAS PALMAS
MALAGA
TEL AVIV
VIENNA
TENERIFE

The a/c will be seat 220 passengers in a two class configuration of 20 J and 200 Y.

This other information is on their website:

Service: Line/Charter passenger & cargo services
Share holder: Vipair Holding BV
Date established: March 30, 1999
Exploitation-license: Dutch Aviation Law Article 16A
Start to operate: August 2002
Fleet: 2x Airbus A310-300

Catering: Gate-Gourmet SPL
Cargo handling: Aero Ground Handling SPL

Are they a virtual airline or are they really planning to start in August?
I certainly like their proposed livery!

Thanks!  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

this airline says it will startup soon for the last 2 and a half years.

their livery is 100% stolen. i.e. from the other vipair (pictures can be found on a.net)

changes of start up are small to zero.

I've heard very interesting stories from a reliable source, which unfortuntaely I can't tell here.
There were very real plans to start about 1.5 to 2 years ago, and they were actually recruting people at other airlines, and collecting information needed to operate. Well, as with many projects, things didn't quite work out.
Right now I'm not giving them any chance of starting up, ever.
