Whilst I was exploring a few airline sites I came across the following, which I found extremely disturbing.
On the website ( http://www.mahanairlines.com ) of the Iranian carrier Mahan Air, there is a pop-up ad when you 1st enter the site.
Simulator Training Now Available
Training in A300-B4 simulator (GE CF6-50C2 engines) is now available in our flight crew training centre in Kerman-Iran. For more information please contact Manager of Flight Crew at email@example.com
Now if they'd just got a simulator for the training of their crews that's OK. However, why on Earth would they advertise this fact so much and say it's 'now available' and that people can contact them for more information? It sounds to me like anyone can go on a course with Mahan Air to learn how to fly A300s even if they're not actually going to work for an airline.
I think it's obvious where I'm going with this. With quite a few f**ked up people in that part of the world who have an interest in mass murder, I find it very worrying if the airline is doing what I think it is.
