What airport is PVD? Is there competition on the route? If there isn't much, maybe that is why the prices are so high. Considering that you have 10 months though, I would certainly wait. Maybe a few months until the trip, prices will go down. My family is taking a trip to Lake Tahoe in California and Nevada this year and we were going to fly into either RNO or SMF (Sacramento) and then drive a little ways. They are the closest airports to Lake Tahoe. Well, for months and months, the prices from ATL to RNO or SMF were in the mid-300s which was too high. For a brief period they dropped to $225 maybe 4 months before departure, but my dad did not buy because he thought they might get better. I was skeptical, but hopeful. Anyway, they went back up into the mid-300s for a while, every once and a while dipping to $300, but then finally, a month ago or so, for one day, Continental had a fare for $251 per person through IAH and we bought then. We are leaving in July, so it was only two months in advance when we saw the second best prices. So what I'm trying to say is that it wouldn't hurt to wait for while because there is no pressure right now to buy and there is a good chance I think that it will go down in time. I don't know what would be good for PVD-MCO though, so you'll have to judge that or ask someone. All of this is just what I think will happen; there is no guarantee that this is correct because I am no expert. Well, have a great trip and good luck with your flights! Sorry that I couldn't answer why the prices are so high.
