AA 737-800 Mistaken For 737-200

Wed Jun 26, 2002 12:20 pm

Greetings:

Well we all know how the news gets aircraft types wrong all the time but when an airline gets it own aircraft wrong you have to wonder. Checkout AA's corporate home page. Under the 737-800 characteristics they have pictured a 737-200 instead of a 737-800  Nuts Check it out.

I sincerely hope they don't get the non-interchangeable 200/800 parts mixed up when working on these 737s...  Big grin

It looks like they fixed it.
I see a 737-800 in cruise flight now.
Can anyone confirm?

You'd think they could pick a better picture for their flagship plane... http://www.aa.com/content/aboutAA/ourPlanes/boeing777.jhtml

I suspect that the people who manage the AMR website are great at running the website but not that great at telling the difference between various models of 737.

BR715: Does you hatred of AA have anything to do with them returning the ex-TWA 717's to Boeing? Or did they lose your luggage?
