Insolvency For Fairchild-Dornier

Tue Jul 02, 2002 2:27 am

Fairchild-Dornier definitely is insolvent. Over 1000 employers become unemployed. There are rumors about an american and an italian interest (Aliena) about the smashed company.

- Alenia (Italy) main party interested in the 728, negotiations are going on, one consulting company is now involved, too

- 1,800 staff are now transferred into training-for-the-job programms with 80% of their former pay, can be recalled when investor steps in

- 328JET has several interested companies, ATR/EADS and an investment company around Dimling&Park

Still, I think there things going on behind the scenes we don´t know and which don´t have been announced.

The company looking at the 328JET is Dimeling, Schreiber & Park which is the same group which rescued Piper about seven years back.
