How Many Gallons In A Pound Of Jet A?

Fri Oct 01, 1999 11:50 pm

I've been trying to consider something;

1. How much does a gallon of Jet A weigh?
2. How is the fuel sold, by the pound or by the gallon/Litre?
3. How much does it cost to buy a pound/Gallon/litre?

Thanks in advance,

Jet-A weighs 6.7lbs per gallon at 60 degrees. It is sold by the gallon.

At Delta, we use 6.7 lbs/gal for our calculations. Although it is bought and sold per gallon, we measure it by pounds. The last price I remember seeing was $0.51/gal.
