Thu Jul 04, 2002 12:48 pm

For anyone in the East Midlands area.....

Virgin's first A340-600 G-VSHY will be there crew training on 21 July from around 1430 and 23 July from around 1030. The a/c will be positioning from/to LHR. On the 22nd it'll be visiting the Farnborough air show for the day.

hey Airchamub,

When you say "The a/c will be positioning from/to LHR." Do you mean that they will be flying it from LHR to East Midlands and back?

thnx

I've seen the A340-300's training around EMA a couple of times and I ws planning to ask the question soon, but you've just answered it!

I'll certainly be there trying to get another picture of the A340-600.

Just one question, 21st July is a Sunday right? Didn't they ban training flights on a Sunday at EMA or have I dreamt this?

Hi Dan330

You may be correct about a training ban at EMA on a Sunday as it has been switched to PIK now between 1630-2000L. It's still planned to be at EMA on 23rd July though. These are the only A340-600 training flights that I know of at the moment.
