Near -miss Over Wales

Sat Jul 06, 2002 3:15 am

Yesterday, a Embraer 145 with 43 aboard and a Dash 8 with 22, almost collided. At 900 ft (300 meters) of distance between the planes, the anti-collision system warned the pilots and a catastrophic accident was avoided.

What's happening in the skies?

Yes, I heard it too.

For your info: the two aircrafts were from British Airways.

The ERJ was heading for BRS from GLA and the DH8 heading for NCL.

Near misses are very common whenever I fly. A lot of them were closer than 900 feet. That is why it is always good to be looking outside the aircraft most of the time.

I still dont understand why people report everything after there is a real accident...
