I wasn't bashing CWL, I just think its underserved. There are times when there isn't a flight for 6 hours (I remember a sunday about 2 months ago when it was like that). Cardiff, being a capital you would expect to have some constant traffic, and have more interest than it does. Esp. when it doesn't have a particularly short runway.
Remember there is Newport and Swansea quite nearby, so I'd expect that within a 40 mile radius there must be at least 1.5 million people.
1.5m isn't alot, Bristol is alot smaller (and we have no maintenence place
and a small uneven runway), we still get 2.8m a year.
I don't think that, 1 million passengers per year will be introduced by bmibaby. The impact here was alot less than that with go, and remember they based three aircraft here. So I'd say probably 500,000 would be more likely.
I must get down to CWL next time the rugby is on, lots of interesting visitors!!! I also hope BA go into receivership or administration, so there'll be a couple more BA planes over there
. No wait... I don't!!
Aww you can't win :/
Swansea - rofl. uhhhh... nothing chartered I don't think, but I'm pretty sure there was like a second do228 being based therE?
I hope that Go start a base (although thats impossible), at CWL, it would beat them starting one at NCL ha ha!!!
