Alaska's MD80s

My question is does alaska still fly md 80s and if so how many are still in their fleet. I love md 80s and its ashame to see alot of them go. I primarly fly to mexico on aeromexico which still has quit a few of them.

Alaska still has a healthy fleet of 32 M80s. I think some of the planes will be around for another 5 or so years, after all, they have some that are just over 6 years old.

You know it is 1230 am here at ANC and I just took a look over at the Alaska Hanger and at their gates with the Bincolures that we have at the shop.

There isn't a single AS MD on the ramp, Only Boeings!

I can't see any of the even numbered B gates where I am at but it is unusual that there isn't one here.
OBAMA-WORST PRESIDENT EVER....Even SKOORB would be better.

That doesn't surprise me L188. The MDs used to have the long distance legs out of ANC (LA, SEA) but now with the 73Gs, those MDs are flying elsewhere. I know we have a few overnighting here (5 I think). Go to Seattle during one of the pushes, and you'll see plenty of MDs.
