Delta Air Lines and China Southern Airlines today announced the signing of a comprehensive agreement
that will provide for code-sharing on flights between the U. S. and China. China Southern also will participate in Delta’s SkyMiles Program. The code-share agreement is subject to government approval.

Delta will purchase seats on China Southern’s three-times-per-week Boeing 777-200 service between Los Angeles and Guangzhou.

In addition to Delta’s purchase of seats to Guangzhou, China Southern will purchase seats on Delta flights from Los Angeles to certain
other U.S. destinations. Cities include Atlanta; Boston; Detroit; Las Vegas; Minneapolis/St.Paul; Honolulu, Dallas-Ft. Worth, New York (JFK Airport); Philadelphia; Portland, OR; San Francisco; Miami; Chicago; and Washington D.C. (Reagan National Airport).

In addition to China Southern’s participation in the SkyMiles program, Delta also announced its intention to join China Southern's new frequent
flyer program, SkyPearl, which was launched by the carrier in November.

China Southern, with headquarters in Guangzhou, China, carries more passengers on more aircraft than any other airline in China. The carrier
operates approximately 90 aircraft connecting more than 90 cities around the globe through 10 regional bases in China. Major business and leisure destinations served in China include Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Guilin and Shantou.

Delta, Delta Express, the Delta Shuttle, the Delta Connection carriers and Delta’s Worldwide Partners operate 5,187 flights each day to 353 cities in
56 countries. No other airline flies as many passengers as Delta Air Lines, which carried more than 103 million passengers last year.
