Il 76 With Callsign "Asia 164" At CGK

Sun Jul 21, 2002 9:37 pm

I was @ CGK today and saw an IL76 come in, park at Intl. PAX apron, and left again... Callsign Asia 164 if I remember correctly. Left for Northwest (SIN/KL/Middle East) direction.

Colour white/grey with a slim black "arrow" on the leading edge of the fin pointing towards the front base of the fin with I think red "ASIA" titling on the base of the fin.

No rego nor any better visual description as I did not have my "standard equipment" with me then...

ANY IDEAS WHO THESE GUYS ARE ?

According to two web sites that I checked, Japan Airlines Asia uses the callsign "Asia". Maybe it was a cargo flight on their behalf.
