G-BOAC Back IN Business

Tue Jul 23, 2002 3:23 am

Today, Concorde G-BOAC carried out it's first commercial flight since a BA002 on August 12th 2000.
Alpha Charlie was the aircraft that had pushed back to operate the BA001 on August 15th 2000, when the news came in that the C of A was about to be withdrawn, so it returned to stand.
A much happier occasion today, OAC pushed back at 10:27, 3 mins early, with 49 pax on board.
She's on her way back now, (check http://www.flightview.com.html for anyone near LHR who wants to see her land).
For pics of the two post mod. test flights, (BA9177E 11th July and BA9151E 16th July), click on this links for some good pics-http://www.concordesst.com/returntoflight/batestflights.html

GDB - do you have a schedule which tells you which aircraft will be flying and when? Just interested in knowing which Concorde I will have in September on BA001 (bit sad I know).

Cheers

Oh - and good news about G-BOAC, especially since it has by far, the best registration number in BA's fleet.

RickB, it'll be no problem providing you info. on the Concorde you will be flying on, best done after the event as I could tell you a day or two before, but an aircraft swap for operational reasons could occur, or use of a standby-hopefully that won't happen!
