Copa was the first to operate the 737NG in Latin America and now becomes the first to operate the 737-700 with winglets in america and the second in the world. (Kenya airlines was recived a 737-700WL a week before copa) they have a fleet of they have a fleet of 9 737-700 and some 737-200´s they will recieve 3 more 737-700´s this year and have ordered more. Also they will retrofit their older 700´s with winglets. For more info go to http://www.copaair.com

To answer to your question the distance between Panama City Airport and Buenos Aires is 2886.1 NM in a straigt line.

Also to clarify the First 737-700 With Winglets is OMAN AIRLINES, not Kenya as I posted earlier

Airmale,

Seems like you likes Oman Airlines, you are right, the error was mine, Kenya Airlines was the first 737-700 with winglets Operator.

By the way the 10th aircraft arrives yesterday.. its the HP-1378CMP.

Cheers,

Ex-Midway Birds?

Sat Jul 27, 2002 12:30 pm

Just out of curiosity: are any of these aircraft ex-Midway birds, or are they factory-fresh? A few photos were recently posted on the datebase showing a couple ex-Midway 737-700's being fitted with winglets. Any thoughts?

Later,
Chris in Orlando

For some reason the Copa 737-700 was here in Orlando last week. I did not put two and two together until I saw this post. I just thought CO was test flying one of their 73's with winglets.

Drewwright,

Yes, the Copa 737-700 is not flying right now the routes that they said before.

The day I took the pictures, its came from Miami, and the other day to Orlando so.. you probably will see the plane in many places.

Flynavy,

Well, those could be for Copa, but I dont think so.. They make the order of new planes some years ago. And just four of them are for leasing. Two Tomb and two Gecas.
