How Low Is W Class In Economy?

Sat Jul 27, 2002 6:53 am

Hello,
I recently booked tickets to Florida next February. The fare was unbelievably cheap. My tickets say that I'm booked in W. Can anyone tell me how low that is?

That'll be the third bench from the rear in a freighter, next to the chickens.

Alitalia777,
Where offered W class is premium economy. So if you're flying British Airways, Virgin or British Midland for example you'll be seated in a separate Premium Economy/World Traveller Plue/New Economy cabin.

With most other carriers over the Atlantic W class passengers get no special treatment.

What airline have you booked to fly with?
Are you sure it's W and not V class, because as I indicated above W class is full-fare, whereas V class is a much lower-priced fare basis.

It will depend on what airline you booked on. W class on Alaska Airlines and several others is for mileage awards. As was already mentioned on others it is a premium fare.

I have a feeling he's flying UNITED... the fare buckets are as follows:

F A Y B M H Q V W T S K L G

Domestic fare buckets S, K, L are used for tour operators/bulk fares (sometimes V and Q) and G are travel industry (positive space).
