I believe the execs of American Airlines have one for hunting somewhere in the mountains of West Virginia.

most cabins look alike nowadays...white walls, sad curtains, navy blue or grey seats... In the 70s, the trend was to extensively use bright colors; I've seen pics of TWA and Pan Am interiors which seemed to be great. My favourite remains El-Al's 747-200 cabin: it was really full of colors...with orange and pink as dominating shades.

The Emirates cabins posted in airliners.net are soothing and provide a nice alternative to all the blue and grey that everyone else has:

Resinger, I have a brochure for the El AL 747-200, and that is unique, especially the wavy graphics on the cabin sidewalls. The TWA ones from the 70s are pretty amazing, as you said. They had 25 or so different seat covers that were mixed and matched in a given aircraft so that no more than three aircraft had the same one. There were five different carpets and six different wall coverings as well. They do make them this way anymore :-(.

I personally like Malaysia Airlines's cabin. Especially in the 777, the modern stowage bins, different colored seats in different sections of the cabin, all make it more pleasant.

Virgin by a mile! Their bright red seats and additional perks like the bar and massage chairs all contribute to a brilliant design.

I really like Lan Chile's interiors, the colors represent the different regions of Chile.

In my opinion has SK the best looking cabin interior. Since I saw it (more or less because of an eye infection) in real at the last weekend it is my new favorite. Not only the interior is great also the service, the attendants and the planes. There are also some little nice details that I did not notice until Fly-K told me during the flight. When you are flying the next time with SK take a closer look at the little bags where the sugar or the salt is placed in, on every bag is an unusual description of what it contains. On the salt bag for example: This is salt, it is white like the snow, it tastes like your tears..... I forgot the rest but I like the idea very much!

Great pictures Bobcat, espescially the first and third one. Just a shame there's a person with less than aesthetically pleasing sandals in the first picture  Sad!

know what I mean... hehehehehe...  Big grin

BOBCAT:

I really like cabin photos, and am always looking for sources of them outside of airliners.net. Can you please give me the website where you found those photos?

BizElite777,

these are from a Japanese website calle Premium Club

Old gallery

New gallery:

Main page:

Everything is in Japanese. Some of the airline-related
photos are really nice. They are all from first class cabin.

The site is probably still under contruction, as not all links work.

I have to say that even though I'm not a big fan of that burred wood stuff, Singapore Airline's cabin is by far the best looking of the lot !

I was on two TWA planes yesterday, a 767-300 and an MD-80, and they had the nicest interiors I've seen in a long time. I also liked the interior of the America West A319 I was on two days ago.

It's got to be Singapore Airlines. Their first and even business class cabins are, in my opinion second to none-especially with the recent introduction of the new sleeper bed in first.....Having said all this, I will admit that JAL's first that was posted by Bobcat looks very nice, but I've yet to experience that, though I look forward to the opportunity.
