Can't comment on this specific report, but I do have a question about troop transports. When the equipment being used is not a sardine charter (like World Airways), but a regular civilian bird with F, J & Y classes, are the seating assigments done by rank? Officers up front, grunts in the tail?
Maggs swings, it's a drive deep to left! The Tigers are going to the World Series!!!

Partly true. The 747-400 carried 280 Canadian troops home to Edmonton yesterday. Sounds like it was a charter from Guam via Honolulu. The Canadian troops were in Guam for about a week after leaving Afghanistan last week. I'd imagine they were transported to Guam by a USAF transport.

A couple of months back, a Malaysian B747-400 brough Australian troopers back from Afghanistan to Perth. The flight originated from Kuwait, so I guess they ferried the troops using some form of military transport before switching over to the 744.

Stretch8 - From what Ryanair!!! has said about this, the highest rank gets the first class, and goes down from there. That's probably true for the Singapore Armed Forces, not sure how they do it for the others, but I guess it'll be similar.
