Question On Two SQ Flights

Hello,

can somebody just tell me if Singapore Airlines flights SQ857 and SQ862 continue/come from some other destination or are they only flying SIN-HKG HKG-SIN ?

Depart Singapore: 1100
Arrive Hong Kong: 1445
Daily service.

Singapore Airlines SQ857
Aircraft: Boeing 747-400 Megatop
Depart Hong Kong: 1030
Arrive Singapore: 1405
Daily service commencing 1 April 2002.

Anyone can fly, only the best Soar.

So that means they are not connecting to some other destination from Hong Kong such as North America or Japan, ... ?

B737-700- Thats right. They're solo flights by themselves. They turnaround at HK for SIN.

Yeah.

SQ862 terminates in Hong Kong.
SQ857 terminates in Singapore.
Anyone can fly, only the best Soar.

I wonder why SQ is using the 747-400 on the SIN-HKG-SIN route. Wouldn't it be more efficient to use the 777-300 instead? Note that SQ 002 continues to SFO and SQ 001 comes from SFO at HKG.

SQ do use the B777-300 from time to time. SQ don't have many B773s and they service routes like Melbourne, Sydney, Dubai... etc. Hong Kong is quite a popular destination The B744 can be full at times.
