What other operators have the ex-China Airlines MD11's gone to? Are they being converted to cargo variants?

LTU and Garuda have gotted rid of them to.
Japan Airlines have sold them to UPS, but still operate them.

The weird thing is that the retirement of the MD-11 coincided with the addition of a 738 to the fleet. That is an odd replacement.

I think CI's livery look quite good on an MD11, too bad they are retiring them!  Sad

EVA air will be converting their MD-11 passengers to Feighters .

Wow... that was quick. CAL didn't have them for long, did they? 8yrs? Are they another one not satisfied with the performance of the tri-jet?

VASP shouldn't be on the list since they got rid of their MD-11's because they could not pay the leases anymore. So it had nothing to do with the planes.
Varig still operates it's large fleet of MD-11's and it looks as if they might keep them for a while yet even while operating the 777 (how many do they operate by now?).
