What airplanes would you use if you had to fly Hawaii Interisland, asia, s.america, europe, and n.america?

If I was to start an airline I'd use 757's mostly.... that way if I ever needed a larger plane I could get a few 767 and still salvage fleet compatability.

Used 747-100s & 200s for long-haul
Used 707s & IL-62s mid-range.
Avros & Dash 8s for short inner-island service
L-188 charters Big grin
Bring back the Concorde

Unfortunatly you can't fly them single pilot either.

I'd use ERJ-145's for Interisland Flights And 777-200ER's for Long-range domestic and international flights.

BlueJet: I like your thinking! Sounds suspiciously like what we have at Hawaiian.  Smile

Je89_w: I hope you have a LOT of money to throw away on the interisland. There's no way you'd make any $ with a 737-800 fleet. Aloha tried with a 737-300 and almost went bankrupt. We're barely breaking even in the best of months with the 717. They are losing money with the 737-200, and the -800 is a h*** of a lot more expensive to run. Repeat after me - there's no money in interisland, there's no money in interisland.....

Inter island: 717 (or, if we need a prop instead, the Dash-8)
