DL Emergency Landing Yesterday?

Sat Aug 03, 2002 10:05 pm

Yesterday, I saw something that I have absolutely never in my life seen before. A DL or DL Shuttle plane was flying towards NYC pretty low over the Danbury area of SW Connecticut. Now I know that over Greenwich there are often planes on approach to LGA flying pretty low, but usually over this part of CT there are only bizjets and Dash 8s flying into HPN or outbound flights to Europe from EWR.

Did a DL plane return to NY for some reason yesterday, or were some planes using a different approach pattern in advance of the weather (by the way, we got slammed yesterday)?
