HOw Is This Travel Deal Possible?

Wed Aug 07, 2002 1:58 am

I love travel deals and usually look to making my own itinerary. But I came across this in the newspaper. I opted not to write down who is offering it as it would be an advertisement and against the rules.

But I checked airfare on Aer Lingus alone is $400 USD. Yet this trip costs a total of between $399 and 479 depending on when you go. I just can't believe it is true.

Also, I have been thinking of flying on Aer Lingus. Are they a good outfit?

Package includes:
-Roundtrip Air on Aer Lingus
-6 night Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast (Free upgrade to 1st night in Hotel for Shannon Arrivals)
-Irish Coffee Reception (for Shannon Arrivals only)
-One week car rental, including unlimited miles (chauffeur optional)

Please note: Prices are per person based on double occupancy accommodations, self-drive based on 2 passengers; Also upgrade to 2000 Town & Country B&Bs with private bath available ($36pp). Weekend ($30 each way) and Dublin ($10 each way) surcharges apply.
Upgrade also available to Automatic Car available for only $36 per person per week. Departure tax and service fees extra (Approx $68pp).

So this would cost about $934 (minimum) up to $1282 (maximum) altogether per couple, right? Sounds reasonable.
