Well I will start by saying I'm humbled and corrected. I ranted and raved about my boycott and refusal to fly any airlines. I stopped, cooled off, took a breath, re-read all of the topics, and came to the realization that it is not the airlines fault. I accept with ill grace all of the flack I know I'm going to get. But it takes a big person to admit they were wrong.
I am now ready to let bygones be bygones and return to the skies.
the first trip I want to take will be to see all of my friends in New York that have been begging me to come out and visit. I love them and I lov spending time with them. And I always loved my visits.
So I am looking at going sometime in late October. I am looking at flying out of either LAX, ONT, or SNA into NYC. My first choice would be to fly into EWR as that's the closest airport to where I stay at. But JFK and LGA will also do.
In light of todays new procedures and such, I ask the following questions of you, since I am no longer "hip" to the current state of affairs:
1. What can I expect at the airport? Truth be told, I'm dreading this part.
2. What will onboard service be? Will it be somber and pure business, or will there be some humanity and service?
3. What airline do you recommend? I used to be partial to Continental and National. But I'm starting with a clean slate and am open to all suggestions.
Thank you....and please....go gentle. I know I'm opening Pandoras Box with this post.
