Any idea on when she will be ferried out? I fly out of Dayton tomorrow morning bound for Atlanta, and I would love to take some pictures or perhaps take it as an unexpected equipment change.

Why would they divert to Dayton? It's not THAT far from CVG...why not just continue on to CVG?

They undoubtedly diverted to DAY because of the thunderstorms at CVG. Got down to as low as 1/2 mile viz, winds gusting to 30 knots. Looks like the airport was impacted for an hour, plus or minus.

Probably already departed DAY-CVG after the weather at CVG improved. Most weather diversions cost about 1-2 hours in time, sometimes longer due to ATC the severity/coverage of the weather. In no case would it be there 12 hours later, when you departed DAY the next morning...

Nasty weather at CVG(Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Intl.) caused the diversion. They had ground stops in effect several times between 13:00 and 18:00 local time. DL 43 was delayed out of CDG (Paris, France) about 45 minutes; it is normally scheduled to land at CVG at 1300. The worst of the weather moved through about 1415 and lasted about an hour. DL43 continued on to Cincinnati already, it left DAY(Dayton, OH) about 16:35, and was in the gate at CVG at 17:08 local time.

Jessman's right... it's gone already. It was the newest 777, N867DA.

DL 49 FRA-CVG also diverted, up to DTW. B767-300ER N190DN.
It's a new day. Every moment matters. Now, more than ever.

We had a Delta 767-200 divert to CMH from CVG. It only stayed for an hour or so, and then continued on to CVG. Not sure where it was from.

Actually, it was a 767-300. My mistake.
