Frontier Dropping 1 RNO-DEN Flight

Wed Aug 21, 2002 12:55 am

Frontier will drop Reno to only 1 flight a day from 2 on October 22, the same day that they add new cities. They also appear to be unhappy with the loads on the remaining flight.

Frontier cuts 1 of 2 flights

That's too bad for RNO. At least they still have 40+ WN flights a day. Speaking of Frontier I noticed that they (Jet Express that is) are starting DEN-ICT 2x a day on Sept 18. When did they ever announce that? I noticed it on their route map, but never saw a press release for it. Frontier is a good airline, I have flown them on several occasions and those foot rests they have on their A319s are great. I am looking forward to flying Frontier DCA-DEN-ONT-DEN-BWI on Labor day weekend.

Almost all cities are having cuts of frequency because Frontier doesn't have enough aircraft to maintain the current frequency plus OKC, TUS, RSW, and ICT which Frontier recently announced.

All cities that are seeing decrease in frequency (except RNO) will be back to normal next year when Frontier gets some new Airbuses and when the A318s start coming in.

It's only a temporary reduction.

RNO for now will be down to 1x permanently though at least for now.
