Double Airport Code?

Fri Aug 23, 2002 11:54 pm

While checking some airport codes on the net, I have found out that two airports carry the same IATA airport code:

Name: Elmas
IATA: CAG
ICAO: LIEE
Cagliari, Italy
Latitude: 39°15' 5" N
Longitude: 9°3' 15" E
Elevation: 13
Runway Length: 9202 Feet

Name: Craig Moffat
IATA: CAG
ICAO: KCAG
Craig, Colorado, United States
Latitude: 40°29' 43" N
Longitude: 107°31' 18" W
Elevation: 6193
Runway Length: 5600 Feet

How can this be possible, and are the more dublicates?
