The Boeing 717-200 and the 767-400.
Due to business I had the dubious task of traveling to Hawaii for a week and a half. Continental got me there and back on one of their new 764's and Hawaiian took me to four of the islands with their new 712's.
I was quite impressed with CO's 764. Exceedingly roomy, great storage space, quiet cabin and a rather smooth ride. Take off and climb out was quick, and touch down was like a feather. Not to mention the bank turn into HNL, that was one to remember for sure. Coming back was a bit more bumpy due to high clouds, but no less comfortable, in fact I am pretty sure it was the same aircraft. I have not had the opportunity to fly any of the older versions of the 767 series, but this one was a hit with me.
The 717 was fun to fly on, and I did it 6 times. Plenty of overhead for my carry ons, and the seats. Now I am one of those guys that traditionally has to bring up the armrest to sit comfortably, so by instinct I had it up anticipating that no one would sit next to me. Well it started to look like a full flight so I put the arm rest down, and low and behold my rear end fit with room to spare. Which worked out well for the aspiring actress from New York who was visiting friends that sat next to me. I also had the opportunity to chat up a pilot after a flight from Lihue, Kauai to Honolulu. He praised the aircraft for its efficiency (less than 2K lbs. of fuel for that hop) and for its ability to "cut corners in the sky" for quicker flight times.
All in all great experiences on great aircraft. I'd be interested in hearing any of ya'lls experiences on these......
