New Ford 737-700 : VP-BBT

Hello all, after selling their two BBJ to the USAF, Ford Air acquired two Braathens 737-700, here is the 1st :

What's the reason behind this decision? Are the two "new" -700s cheaper to operate than the BBJs??

But can anyone tell me why Ford disposed of the BBJ and replaced it with a virtually identical aircraft? It just doesn't make any sense to me.
I'm not a real aeronautical engineer, I just play one on Airliners.net.

I would guess that they ended up with less outlay in capital, and that they have reduced operating expenses per hour, since the -700 is lighter than the BBJ (the BBJ has the -800 wing and main gear and stuff).
