Interesting Aircraft At EWR Today

Sun Sep 08, 2002 7:19 am

On my way to the Newark airport collectibles show I saw a grey A-310 parked at the CO maintenance area, when I got close I noticed it was a Luftwaffe (excuse the spelling) A-310.

CO's ground crew were loading pallets of something onto the aircraft, the aircraft had the number 10-27 on it. This is the exact aircraft.

Anyone else see this, and have a idea what it's doing here?.

Hopefully someone got a photo of this nice bird, I took a photo but it's not of the quality to get on A-net. I shot it through the fence.

I believe it is a German Bundestag aircraft. Maybe a German delegate or VIP was in the United States? Last I hear, Schroeder didn't come.
