Libyan Arab Airlines To Geneva

Thu Sep 12, 2002 2:55 am

The DPTS association reports that Libyan Arab Airlines will start a twice-weekly flight from Tripoli to Geneva from the start of this winter’s schedule.

Arriving GVA - 10:30 Monday and 14:45 Thursday
Departing GVA – 11:30 Monday and 15:45 Thursday

Expected to be operated by A320 aircraft (despite the fact that they don’t have any at this time) and flights will probably continue to Paris Orly.

That's another good news for Geneva after Thai Airways, Continental, Aer Lingus, BMI Baby, My Travel Lite adding Geneva to their network. That shows that there is a potential out of Geneva but the national carrier Swiss doesn't care about that!
BTW, today I saw on the DPTS site that Pulkovo will fly from St Petersburg to Geneva two times a week in winter with a TU154!! Great!

Once again I'm happy for GVA  Smile/happy/getting dizzy
I wonder if they could fill the plane in GVA or if the will do it together with ORY...

For your information LAA operates A320s registered in Ireland, and they often lease an additional A320 from Nouvelair Tunisie.
