Today I went to Jersey to see the Jersey international air display, wich wa very nice.
We were standing on the balkony (spelling?) at the Jersey aeroclub wich is right on the end of the runway so we could see all planes taking off.
and there were some nice aircraft.
We started of with the memorial flight:
a Lancaster, DC3, Spitfire and a Huricane. The sound of those engines are increddible.
But there was more:
BAC 167 Strikemaster
Hawk T Mk. 1a
Team Khalifa, they fly with 4 Aero L-39 Albatross Jet Trainers
Piaggio P-180 Avanti (only on the static display)
B17 Flying Fortress
De Havilland Sea Vixen (very nice)
Utterly Butterly Barnstormers
And last but not least, The Red Arrows.
And the best part was that they were in formation together with a My Way Airbus a320. That was awsome (ok concorde would have been better).
Enjoyed my day over there, somebody else took the pictures and hopfully I will have them later on in the month.
It was my first visit to an airshow and I have enjoyed every minute of it.
