UAL SF0-SEA 767-300

Mon Sep 23, 2002 11:28 am

I was looking at the Seattle-Tacoma International flight departures and I noticed that United Airlines flight 1051 to San Francisco was being flown by a Boeing 767-300. Could anybody tell me if this is true and why do they use the 767-300 on the short flight and also they have like 10 daily flights to SFO from SEA and I thought all were flown with a 737-300.

It sometimes swapped aircraft due to check up maintenance outside of Seattle in Boeing Company in Everett. I saw a few times on flight tracker with 767-300 SFO-PAE or SEA.

UA uses mostly 737s on the SFO-SEA-SFO segments. I think 1 757 a day and the last flight out of SFO to SEA is currently a 767...it is likely just a repositioning for the a/c
