TG's Schedule Between SYD And AKL

Mon Sep 23, 2002 5:25 pm

Can anyone give me the schedule? How many of these flights are B 747-300s? And how many of them are operated by the 400?

I plan to visit New Zealand next year.

Awaiting your reply.  Smile

What about Friday? Is it a 300 or a 400?

The code "747" is for the new 747-400s used by Thai Airways.

they normally go to CDG/LHR and sometimes SYD.

the "747" (new 747-400s) have bigger seats in F and J, but the Y class seats are the same...

cheers!

Isn't the F seats in the "747" reclining to 180 deg? while the old royal orchid plus seats don't do that (the ones in 744 and 743 a/c)?

Regarding the 747-400s with improved F and J product, I can say that HS-TGB has it, but none of the others i have flown on so far do (at the time I have flown on them, all this year) - check the photo album in my profile to see what ones I have flown on.

Perhaps others out there can help identify others with the improved interiors?

When will TG's B 747-300s leave the fleet? It seems that they will be around for a while longer.

I would say 2005 for the 743's, maybe before though, I think 744's will replace them!

I heard the Barge aircraft HS-TGJ and HS-TGO still have the old seating.

Yes I have also heard the Barge aircrafts are terrible to fly on along with the 743's!! AVOID them at all costs!

AirNewZealand - my last flight on TG was on a 747-300. I didn't find anything "terrible" about it at all (although I was in Business Class, perhaps there is something I don't know about in Economy?)

"744" means 747-400 with old F and C products
"747" means 747-400 with new F and C products.
- 180 degree recline sleeper seats in F
- 50+ inch seat pitch in C, better recline, better footrest than 744
- PTV in F and C

7 out of 16 B747-400s in THAI fleet are "747", the rest are "744"
