Wonderful news, all this travelling can only be good for you.

It's feasible that someone living in or around London could purchase a ticket, and drive up the motorway to Cardiff....I'd love to fly off to Faro for a few days of Autumn sunshine!

That's a lot of free flights to be giving away...

This begs the question on how well ticket sales have been going for bmibaby from Cardiff, and I hope this doesn't indicate poor sales...

There has been a fair degree of scepticism over the potential success of these flights from CWL and if they can give away 20000 free flights from the first months capacity it does not augur well.
Having said that, you wouldn't expect leisure services like Alicante, Malaga, Faro and Jersey to perform that well during November.

I don't like signatures...

Yeah i am thinking of getting in on the act as Cardiff is only 2 1/2 hrs down the road. you only have to pay taxes of £7.50 each way thats it. I admit the ones from EMA were free including taxes

Grab em while you can. Here is the blurb

"FROM CARDIFF

FREE - 20,000 seats (exclusive of taxes). Destinations include, Glasgow, Malaga, Edinburgh, Alicante, Belfast (International), Faro, Jersey .

Book on bmibaby.com from 0700 on Wednesday 2nd October for travel between 27th October and 30th November 2002.

Don’t forget : Taxes are payable - £7.50 each way"

I just booked myself from GLA and my brother from EDI to visit my other brother in Cardiff for £15 return. Used to be the cheapest with BA was £129 and the train about £50 so we usually drove down. Another example of how the budget airlines attract 'new' passengers into the air.
