UA's LAX/SFO-JFK Planes Historically?

Thu Oct 03, 2002 12:21 am

Currently, UA uses the 767-200 on the LAX-JFK and SFO-JFK routes.

Does anyone know what jet airliners UA used on these two routes over the years? I keep on thinking that UA used the DC-8 50 series, 747-100, and DC-10 on these routes before settling on the 767-200.

I believe that UA never used their CFM56-engined DC-8 70 series planes on these two routes.

747's and DC-10's I know. They may have operated the DC-8 with the new engines. I know they did on the IAD-SFO/LAX routes.
