Question About F/C Class?

Fri Oct 04, 2002 12:04 pm

I was wondering how airlines accomodate their passengers who fly from a 2 class airplane to a 3 class airplane. For example, say a passenger wants to fly Delta from SFO-JFK in BusinessElite (2 class a/c), and then connect on Air France. Would the passenger get first or business class if the AF flight is a 3 class airplane?

Also, do passengers on (for example) Air France who fly Business Class on a 3 class airplane and connect on Delta (757 or similar) fly in First Class?

It all depends on the fare the person is paying. If you buy a business class fare, you will fly in C on the three class and (most often) F on the two class. If you buy an F ticket, you are in F on the three class and F on the two class.

Since Delta is a two class airline only, they do not sell First Class seats on any other airline where they offer a three class service.

So if they fly in BusinessElite class from SFO to JFK.. they will still be in Business Class whether on Delta metal or AirFrance metal if they booked it all the way thru in BusinessElite domestically, then BusinessElite internationally.

If you fly First domestically on Delta, it will be Business internationally still. Not First class on a three class plane.

How it works on planes using AirFrance metal out of Paris to other parts of Europe, I'm guessing if it is just a two class flight, it would be First (or do they call it Business there?) if you flew Business over... but if its a three class, Business for sure if booked thru Delta.

Hope that helps you mroe then confuses you..lol

2CN:

This is true if you purchase a C ticket. But if you purchase an F ticket through AF, you will be in F on AF.
