Aces will take over the Miami-Baranquilla route from Avianca effective 1 November, as part of Avianca and Aces continuing relationship in Grupo Summa. To MIA, Grupo Summa will continue to offer seven daily flights to six destinations. Avianca will offer thrice daily service to Bogota, with one service contintuing on to Peiria, operating a mix of 757-200 and 767-300ER aircraft. Aces, operating exclusively with A320s, will offer daily service to each of Colombia's next four largest cities...Medellin, Cali, Cartagena, and Baranquilla. There are rumours a second daily Medellin frequency may be added in 2003.

In addition, Avianca will increase service to New York City/JFK from 9x a week to double-daily with the introduction of daily New York City/JFK-Medellin-Cali service in November (this service is currently 2x a week). Service to Los Angeles remains at 4x a week, routed Bogota-Mexico City-Los Angeles.
