NWA 757-300's

Sun Oct 13, 2002 3:08 pm

NW's schedule doesn't seem to differientiate 752's and 753's. Does anybody know the routes NW's 3 753's are flying???

They are also on MEM-MSP runs too. Typically, they are assigned to routes that are/were domestic DC10 routes.

They do differentiate them... 757-200s are coded as 757 in the timetable and the -300s are 753. Since there are only 3 in operation it is very easy to track them.

These are the 753 flights in the current timetable dated 9/3-10/26.

MSP:

#756 to DTW 320pm-613pm-
#454 to MEM 140pm-338pm-
#153 to SEA 920am-1104am-
#165 to SEA 920pm-1055pm-

DTW:

#741 to MSP 920am-1015am-
#755 to MSP 710pm-808pm-
#277 to SEA 722pm-916pm*

MEM:

#459 to MSP 535pm-736pm**-

SEA:

#278 to DTW 1245pm-803pm-
#158 to MSP 900am-213pm-

* this service was discontinued on 9/30 and downgraded to a -200
** this service started on 10/1 - upgraded from a -200

AZJ,

For the past three Fridays and Sundays, 659/658 (MSP/MKE) have been 753s, as the -14s have taken to the easy life.

I also presume this will become a regular schedule as the -53s come in en-masse?

In addition to the published 753 flights I would imagine there has been a lot of a/c subsitutions when loads have demanded them. When all 16 are online I'm would bet MKE will see them on a regular basis.

Azj, are they going to bring any up this year to ANC replacing the DC-10-40's? I know they brought up the 10-40's as seasonal flights, but MSP - ANC - MSP and DTW - ANC - MSP are alsways packed flights with the 752, sure the 753 could be just as packed.

When/If the economy picks up again I would expect some peak MSP-SFO will be in sore need of 753 capacity.
