BAX Fleet Changes, Green Backs Leaving

Tue Oct 15, 2002 11:33 am

For those of interest. BAX continues to pull DC-8-60s into service to meet demand, they will be operated by their ATI subsidiary from the TOL hub. Kitty Hawk has also rejoined the BAX family flying a couple 727s. Word is that a new widebody will be ordered or purchased soon to start adding lift and replacing the DC-8s (767s).

Also get the pics of the green backs while you can, the entire fleet will be going to the new ATI blue tail scheme. Couldn't find out a time frame, but likely less than a year. Lastly, new pics of the Gemini MD-11 that operates the downunder flights (TOL-LAX-HNL-Nadi-SYD) have been posted up on the TOL website.
