New Start For Fokker In China?

Fri Oct 18, 2002 11:32 pm

For the Dutch visitors:

http://www.rtl.nl/financien/rtlz/nieuws/index.xml/view/financien/rtlz/2002/10_oktober/18-fokker_vd_nieuwenhuyzen.xml

They want to start production of the F70 and F100 again. And this time they want to do it in China. Let's hope this will work. A bit shamefull that our Dutch pride will leave for cheap China.

It's a shame that the original Fokker had to shut down in the first place, right when the Commuter and RJ market was just beginning to gather steam.

Think of how popular the F-50, F-70, and F-100 would be today had they been allowed to live.

But I guess the Dutch manufacturer simply lost too much money.
