British Airways To S F B?

Sat Oct 19, 2002 9:45 am

I heard today that British Airways is supposed to come to the Orlando-Sanford Int'l Airport (SFB) in about three years after our new international terminal is built.

Is this true?

I think it's total B.S. because I can't see BA coming to SFB when there's charter airlines here. I've always thought of BA to be above those types of airlines, which is why they fly into Orlando Int'l.

If anyone can shed some light on this subject, I'd appreciate it.

I really doubt it- The only way that might happen is if you see VS moving to SFB which I really doubt will ever happen.

Well, SFB has must have something up their sleeve.

They're supposed to lengthen the 9,600' runway to make it over 10K', so maybe they're anticipating the A380. Then again, the 747s use about 85-90% of the runway, so maybe they're just making it safer.
